About the NSCA CSCS Exam

The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist exam consists of two sections to test a candidate’s abilities and knowledge. The first section is Scientific Foundations and the second is Practical/Applied. The first section contains 80 scored items and 15 unscored and the second section contains 110 scored items and 15 unscored. However, it is essential to pass both sections to get the NSCA CSCS certification. The registration fee for NSCA CSCS is $340 for NSCA members and $475 for nonmembers. There are some prerequisites to consider before preparing to sit for this exam. A bachelor’s degree or higher or current enrollment at an accredited college and a current CPR/AED certification are required.
